Spa Road, Bermondsey

Contracted by Universal Play, in the summer of 2008 we completed the redevelopment of the Spa Road play area. This £300000 project was 12 weeks in the making and involved the demolition of existing play and landscape structures, the installation of new drainage, fencing, tarmac, play equipment, sports area, safer surfacing and landscape work. Geoff Smith, managing director of Universal Play, commented: ‘there are very few companies involved in the playground industry that would be capable of undertaking civil engineering projects of this type. As Playgrounds for Schools workforce is multi skilled no other sub contractors were called in’.
